Lutterworth Ramblers

Lutterworth Ramblers is a group within the (national) Ramblers (formerly the Ramblers’ Association). We encourage and welcome visitors to join us, although we would expect regular visitors to become members of the Ramblers (link on Contacts page).

Walks are categorised as follows:

Grade L  (Leisurely)- for moderately fit people with some experience of walking off hard-surfaced paths; hiking boots preferred but not essential

Grade M (Moderate) - for those with good fitness and country walking experience, may include steep paths and be at a brisker pace; hiking boots highly recommended

Grade S (Strenuous) - for experienced country walkers with above average fitness, may include significant hills and rough country, and be at a brisk pace; hiking boots essential

Walks tend to have a minimum of surfaced paths, so can be muddy in winter, and they are likely to include stiles. Walking pace on the level is normally about 2.5 mph.

The new Covid19 regulations require each person to bring a face mask, hand sanitiser and latex gloves. Also, we recommend that you bring adequate liquid refreshment and, for longer walks especially, a packed lunch. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing, as, on M & S walks particularly, terrain can sometimes be wet or difficult. Also there may be no hiding place from the sun (one hopes!) or inclement weather. If you are a dog owner, unfortunately, only assistance dogs are permitted on walks.

If you wish to join a walk, you must telephone the relevant walk leader (Programme Page).

The meeting point for each walk will be at the start point (see Programme)
